This is a short documentary on how the small town of Bowlingtown, Kentucky (1800-1960) was converted into Buckhorn State Park Resort. A federal flood control project forced this community from a place that had been their home for generations.
The film reports that the most emotionally difficult part of the move was the fact that their town cemetery was relocated to make way for a state-owned miniature golf course.
On a more positive not, even in 2022, relatives and former residents of Bowlingtown return three times a year for family reunions at Buckhorn Lake Resort.
