Film Reviews Filming from Up High: ‘AERIAL IRELAND’ Interested to know what the lands of the world look like from a helicopter? Smithsonian Channel’s show “Aerial America” lets you know you. It reveals “natural wonders and man-made marvels” in Kansas, Colorado, Washington, New York City and now even Ireland. Smithsonian Channel, a a joint venture with Showtime Networks, launched Aerial America in 2008. A helicopter equipped with a Cineflix V-14 HD camera mounted on the nose of the aircraft is used to capture the footage.
