From The Criterion Collection, a New York City company that restores, preserves and distributes many of the best films ever made in special edition packages, comes Werner Herzog out of the gate on Les Blank.
Herzog, an accomplished filmmaker who makes documentaries and narrative films, speaks of his admiration and the inspiration he takes from Blank’s large trove of nonfiction work, of which “Spend It All” is his favorite. Blank died in 2013.
The Criterion Collection has released a triple-disc, Blu-ray boxset of Blank’s work called “Always For Pleasure,” on sale now for $100.
